Marriott's Grande Ocean - Coligny

We have been owners of TWO condos at Marriotts Grand Ocean for 10+ years. We are arriving tomorrow for a week using both of our condos. First time ever Marriott called from the front desk the day BEFORE arrival. Only took us a minute to figure out why. Calling to tell us they just didn’t have anything to meet our request of a real bed (not a foldout) in the guest bedroom, or rooms on the same floor, or our oceanfront room to be above looking at the bar or a tree. In other words they met other people’s requests and we got what was left. Never been so disappointed and wondering if it might be time to sell. Used to be such a great resort. Now so many owners they can’t give u what u paid for.

Beautiful, well kept condo resort but tough to rate. Marriott's practice to over charge, change policies, high pressure sales, fees upon fees, staggeringly high drink and food charges make it clear Marriott only cares about how much they can take from captive vacationers . Service, nice people but no one seems to know the rules. I learn something new, different, or contrary with each conversation.

Our pilgrimage. Grand Ocean is a turn key trip. It's amazing for the kids and adults. Beach access is great, several ramps and a stairs case.

Great place for family time the lady at the front desk who was checking our family again was super kind. There is a couple of parking spaces in the parking garage so we can barely fit our car so we had to park on a hill where we got your room. It was very clean and pull out bed! I am currently sleeping on it. no bedbugs, no broken drain or no broken door handle for the shower. Hilton head is a great place for you and your family to stay at the dolphin pool, it is UNBELIEVABLE! it has been renovated used to be in boring old pool, but now there is a lazy river, up great place for babies to enjoy the water and handicapped chairs to get in the pool. I will recommend you to stay at the hotel. Sometimes the elevator is out of order, but there’s always an extra elevator. There is also a pond if you stay in pelican building or sandpiper building. And you can feed the turtles! There is a indoor pool and a hot tub! But, it’s only one baby pool. There is a bar and rental bikes in the hotel! So if you ever come to Hilton head, check in at this hotel with very nice staff!

Wonderful place!! been there for many years with my dad &family at pool bar Jim the beach and pool so fun!!
