Pinar del Chayan - Colima

If you drive between guadalajara and colima, this restaurant is located directly after the curves, at the exit tonila. typical Mexican restaurant, in a forest by the lake, with views of the volcano. a very nice selection of dressed, all inexpensive....Great service. during this visit we had canches and a mocajet, in addition to the famous bean tacos. highly recommended.

If they are in colima en route to guadalajara, etc., this is a more relaxing place to stop. beautiful lake setting, also with view of colima vulkan. lots of parking space and lots of restaurant space, especially during the week. many dishes for choice.

The location for this restaurant is beautiful, very quiet and peaceful. there is a large free parking space. get a window seat to see at the pretty sea when eating. you would think you were in the rocky mountains in alberta canada, as the roundabouts are so similar. eating is excellent, the menu is varied, and the service is top notch. a pleasant retreat.

How to combine fast service with excellent eating is beyond me. we were in a hurry, so we asked which dishes can be prepared in a short time. and they all answered, and it was true! we had the Nopales...gratinados, conejo adobado al horno and fajitas de pollo and all were really delicious. we brought chamorro to home and ate the next day. that, sad to say, was not at their high standards. their selection of craft beers was super! service: wonderful! prices: very reasonable. the word pinar means kiefernwald, but the surrounding trees are casuarinas, australia

It is just 2 minutes off the highway between Guadalajara and Colima. Parking is under the trees and is free. Inside temperature is delicious (Colima is hot and humid). Service is very good. Food is great. The park and lakes surrounding the restaurant invites you...for a walk.
