Mamma Lucia - College Park

Today was my first time trying this restaurant while I was in the area for work. Overall, it was a good experience. I had the food delivered to the Hampton Inn across the street. I ordered a 14-inch Greek pizza with anchovies and a side antipasto. The portion size of the antipasto was unexpectedly large, so I think there may have been a mix-up with my order. The pizza was good, not the best I've had but still enjoyable. The salad was really tasty. I placed my order on their website early on a Monday evening, and the food arrived in about 45 minutes, which I consider to be a great turnaround time.

We unfortunately chose a busy time to visit this restaurant, as a tour bus arrived just as we did. Despite the large group, the owner made sure our service was not affected. Surprisingly, our food came out incredibly fast. The homemade appetizers were nearly as delicious as those made by my husband's Italian grandmother. We wish we lived closer so that we could make this our go-to pizza place. We will definitely be returning every time we are in the area.

I love Mamma Lucia's! I have been a loyal customer for over 30 years. The pizza is excellent and the subs are also delicious. The staff is friendly and welcoming. It's a fantastic place to dine!

Being from the NJ/NY area, I have found it very difficult to find good pizza in Maryland. My husband and I went to Mama Lucia's in College Park, MD on a whim while out shopping in the area. When I say I'd rather eat the cardboard box pizza comes in formost pizza places in MD is a testament of how disappointed I've been. But this place.... the pizza was absolutely delicious andfelt like home to me. We ordered a pizza with pepperoni, ham, and bacon. I literally closed my eyes and sighed in happiness as Iate the first bite.... because it's been more than 20 years since I've had a good pizza. We took our leftovers home, and Ipromise you, it will not see the inside of a microwave. You don't do that to good pizza.... you put it in the oven. On my wayout, I informed, who I believe was the owner, that I was from NJ near NY, and that I'm judgemental of my pizza, and that it wasthe best pizza I've had since I've moved to Maryland over 20 years ago. He told me it was a recipe of his friend back in theBronx. Thank you for making me feel at home! Highly recommended!

Delicious food and great friendly service! We had chicken parmesan and seafood pasta with huge side salads and enjoyed it so much we came back a second night for pizza which was also really good! Love their olive oil dipping sauce! It?s addictive!
