I really like the concept, art, amazing view of the historic strip, and staff was amazing with great personalities, but..... The food was pretty bad. The oysters were extremely overcooked, and all of the food except the Fush (which is whiting, I had toask because it isn 't listed on the menu) were over seasoned, my rice was hard and dry. I could not eat any of my entree. I didhowever enjoy the egg rolls and crab dip. The cocktail was also nice.
I had the opportunity of trying this place twice . The first time I tried Virgil's it was super busy on Sunday and the food was not the best. My lobster tail was burnt and the cornbread was dry but I visited the location this week and they did a 360 . Thefried green tomatoes were so yummy , cornbread moist , fresh, and the shrimp was yummy . The only complaint I had was the salmoncroquettes were overly salty and seasoned . Overall great experience glad I gave this place another shot .
Decided to eat here as it wasn't crowded and they allowed inside dining. Never ate inside before always take-out. Food was excellent and the service was great. Got the fried pork chop, crab rice, sauteed spinach, mac and cheese and the fried salmon. Aside order of the honey muffins to round it out. You will enjoy the food. Music was a little loud but not too overbearing. Nicelocation and good food.
Came for lunch and had a wonderful experience. The muffins were really good and definitely a table favorite. I had the fush and grits and a Henny cocktail that definitely did the job. The staff was very attentive and friendly. We will definitely be back
