Cozy room, warm and clean. Staff available and attentive to every need of the customer. Superlative breakfast with local and quality products!
Very well maintained farm, clean, with restaurant with 56 seats; discreet food, slow but kind service; at noon full lunch at 15 euros! or at choice with a menu typically Piedmont. better book before.
We stayed one night on our way back from Castiglion Fiorentino. The hotel and restaurant form part of a working farm. The room we had was a self contained studio apartment with kitchen dining area, large comfortable double bed and big en-suite. The restaurant was absolutely marvellous. We relied on a recommendation from the waiter and decided on the set menu for €28.00 each. Five courses including two plates of entrees each with five different delights. Then a small (not) plate of pasta, then the main course followed by the dolce . We were so full after the first three courses we actually skipped the main course and asked for a plain ice cream as that was all we could manage. Two half carafs of their own wine and the bill was adjusted for the skipped main course and it all came to less than €65.00. Couldn 't be faulted. Brother and sister run the whole place, the brother and his wife share the cooking. This is top notch cooking at extremely good prices.
I 've been there recently as I was a guest in the hotel with the same name and owner. I had samples of their three cold appetizers, a dish of a traditional ravioli recipe and then meat brasato cooked with Barolo wine, another traditional Piedmont recipe. Everything was perfect, served at the right time and in the right size. People coming to such a country place might expect large portions and thus be disappointed, but while there 's an attention to presentation details you don 't even see large dishes with small bits right in the centre and some pretentious decoration towards the edge. In my opinion the size of each serving is right in order to taste at least two distinct menu items without feeling too full too early. And the price is right for those sizes, totally justified by the quality. It 's not a cheap restaurant, it 's a good restaurant with a honest price.
