Sitting in elegant comfort in the sunshine, overlooking the huge expanse of golden sands and the gentle blue sea lapping to the shore, it is difficult to imagine the horrors that took place here. If I'm in Normandy in June, then I'm here for lunch on the 6th. I love the place for a number of reasons. OK, sometimes it can be slow service, but it is the 6th that I go so it's fair. The menu is simple food, but it is all well done. I've been with parties from four-seven in size, and no one has yet complained about the food standard.

Our Omaha Beach tour group of about 16 people stopped here for a prearranged lunch. We had preordered our meals when we booked the tour (Bayeaux Tours outstanding! , with a choice of chicken or fish.
