One in this dish is that I can enjoy the taste 2 days later. Place is small, but accomodating. The staff is very friendly. So for now these are the best färgers and Maische hands down!!!
First visit since the move from old location. Music, English eats, and new decor. You walk in with the new decor the bar is great and beautiful the lighting is a bit dark throughout the core of the restaurant. We love the new London clock tower and large English jack on the entry to kitchen door. The outdoor seating is sparse, but will be great in the spring and fall weather. We had the scotch eggs, not to my preferred cooking temp, the egg was hard instead of runny, for our appetizer. We then had, the new bacon banger balls which came with a bacon brown sauce and a silky smooth mash. Wife felt the meatballs were a tad strong on seasoning. I had the steak and Ale pie, it seemed like the same mix as the stew with a puff pastry that was a tad on the smaller size. For dessert we had the sticky toffee bread pudding. Thinking this would be served warm it was still sweet and tasty but served at a cold temp. The service was great and the staff friendly. The owner is an old school English soccer player with an interest in gluten free dishes. He his wife and his son run a great establishment. We wish them great success after their restaurant impossible show airs in August. We were sad they moved to Colleyville but we will always be back.
Decided to taste this restaurant because it was nearby and the terrace was dog friendly. I wasn't disappointed. The service was great and very friendly. As for the food it was incredibly delicious. Had the beef stew with potatoes in it. It was plate licking well. For dessert, the Rhabarb had crumb cheese cake. It was absolutely delicious. I can only say you have to eat here.
A quaint little restaurant with flavors and dishes from across the pond. The place is a little dark but it works great with the lit Big Ben center piece in the restaurant. We were surprised by the savory dishes we had. The bangers and mash had blissful blend of the umami meatballs, buttery mashed potatoes, pickled onions and a sauce I can’t pinpoint. The bubble and squeak dish would described as a chicken pot pie in a soft potato cake with an over easy yolk and fresh greens. 11/17/2021
Small restaurant and bar with additional outdoor seating. The majority of the menu is gluten-free or GF possible. We ordered Fish Chips (yum! , Shepherds Pie (Bland , Reese Peanut Butter Pie (super rich , Rhubarb Crumble Cheesecake (Glad we have this To-go so that I could dive my fork into the Rhubarb and avoid the crumbs. It was so nice to finally have roasted fish and cheesecake that reminds me of my life before I go to GF. I didn't want to try to find out what I could eat without getting sick. I will warn you that if you don't have much fried food (fish or desserts (cheese cake you could feel after that). I wish that would be closer, but plan to visit again.
