Who Dat's Southern Food - Collinsville

I stopped by to grab a bite while passing through the area and ordered a burger. Unfortunately, I had to wait 35 minutes, even though there were only five people in the restaurant, and none of them had received their food yet. When my burger finally arrived, the meat was still pink, so I ended up having to find another place to eat. The atmosphere wasn't very inviting either; it wasn't comfortable to enjoy a meal. The waitress was friendly, but when I initially requested my food to go, it felt like my order was rushed because I wasn’t a local. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.

The food was absolutely fantastic! It's the best Cajun cuisine we've had in a long time, and the prices are very reasonable. We will definitely be returning!

Ambiance was great, live band. The fried pimples were delicious. The Buffalo nachos had a great presentation BUT, cheese was cold, chips were a tad stale and generally had a funny not good) taste. I mentioned the server, sent back, but was still loaded: .

Don?t let the décor fool you, this place is authentic. The decor is not traditional New Orleans but what folks in Destrehan, Mandeville, etc think of when they hear New Orleans. Place is super clean and neat which if you know NOLA usually means it won?t be any good but this place is the real deal. The blackened redfish was spectacular. It was nice to taste a dish in the Midwest where blackened doesn?t mean burnt and dry. The only reason I didn?t do 5 stars is the fried pickles were somehow thick and battery despite being thinly cut. Can?t speak for the other apps but the portion size and quality from the fried pickles didn?t really match the cost. Redfish, shrimp poboy, and étouffée are all a must try.
