L'Épicurien - Colmar

A Fabulous bistro the scallop dish and the shrimp dish we had was excellent The waiter was knowledgable and spoke English a tremendous place.

Horrific. Do not go with a pregnant woman. No apology or contrition real attitude. My wife and I went, we asked for well done steak, got something very pink and unsuitable. Asked to return it, they just reheated it in a pan, and said “you still pay” when we asked to cancel. They shrugged their shoulders and the female manager should absolutely no empathy at being 4 5 months pregnant.

A truly incredible dining experience. The owner, Noemie, gave us excellent service. Had the scallops both ways, foie gras, gravlox. A real treat for our taste buds. Would highly recommend. Make reservations.

This is a great restaurant. The food was simply perfect, the service was restrained and attentive, the ambience was lovely. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.L'Epicurien is in a small street in the area known as Petit Venis. It's a charming spot to walk to -very romantic as one crosses the canal and enjoys the illuminated water and bridges.The restaurant was recommended to us by the owner of our apartment who lives full-time in Colmar. She knew her stuff!!The food was high quality and beautifully prepared and presented, the wine list was wide ranging and interesting and even though the restaurant is not enormous, the tables were appropriately arranged for dining in privacy and calm.Many locals clearly eat there-that's an excellent judgement in a restaurant in a town frequented by tourists. Thoroughly good experience- don't hesitate to go there. You definitely need to book.

Small restaurant, with excellent food. We had the Veal Chop and Beef Filet. Both cooked to perfection. Service also very good. You definitely need a reservation, they offer two seating times, 7pm or 9pm. Also they are closed Sunday and Monday. The best restaurant we ate at in Colmar. We highly recommended it!
