Le Papillon Colombo7, Sri Lanka

This restaurant is not very helpful for those in need. I had been waiting in a gas line for 3 hours and asked to use the restroom, but the manager was uncooperative. I was turned away. It is disappointing that a guesthouse would treat people in need in this way, especially during a crisis for all Sri Lankans.

This could have been a great restaurant. It has plenty of street parking and is located on a main road. We used to go there often because it was BYOB, but unfortunately they no longer have an alcohol license. They now charge a corkage fee to make up for it. The food was good when they first started, but the quality has since gone downhill. The atmosphere is lacking, despite the spacious layout.

Furthermore, it took forever for them to take our orders even though the restaurant was almost empty (only one other table was occupied). When the food finally arrived, some of it was dirty and cold. The only dish we enjoyed was the prawn curry with broth, but the rest of the dishes were lackluster. It seems that the quality of their food has declined in recent months, which is a shame because the location is excellent and the ambiance can be quite nice.

Le papillon is a rustic luxury boutique hotel in flower road in the heart of colombo. I left alone in the week. the place was devastated, I had the restaurant completely for me. a Mongolian rice and a hot chocolate....The court was so good. because they don't serve alcohol, I ordered a second hot chocolate. I didn't know that there would put a damper on the whole experience! too much chocolate was in my drink, there was no possibility that I or someone else drank it. So I sent it back. they were polite enough to lift this from my bill to my ease. all in all, I had a pleasing exploitation in le papillon, even after I had looked at the mishap with my second drink. the determination perhaps a blessing for this restaurant. they could have a quiet and qualitatiw high-quality dinner here. in this sense, le papillon is a hidden coarse gem. food: 3.5/5 service: 4/5 Ambience/Decor: 5/5 Price/quality ratio: 4.5/5

This is the worst restaurant in Colombo. The fundamentals of a restaurant which are food and the ambiance is highly missing and It took hours if not more than that for food to deliver. Submarines and burgers which we ordered are the worst in taste and in appearance. I would highly not recommend this place for anyone. My worst ever restaurant experience.
