I sent my daughter to pick her up, and when she was there, she was told that it wasn't done. they had kept them waiting for 15 minutes and then gave them the wrong order. When she pointed out, the personal looked at her as if she was crazy and then the manager went on to the warmer and pulled out our order. we got it home and started checking it out just to find out that we had the wrong side and were completely disappeared other side, sauces and one of the boxes was completely up down and had spilled everything in the bag. I called and lisa was apologetic until I said I wanted the things I paid. I went back to the store to pick up the missing items and asked me to talk to a manager. lisa said she was the manager. I asked her if there was someone else I could talk to, and then she went on to bark me that she was the cargo jam, and more precisely why should I waste my breath that if there was someone else you could talk to? , she trained, she was the only one there and that they are all human and happen mistakes. she did nothing to correct the situation, but went to the warmer, grab my side and then the pocket down on the counter. I am usually a very patient and polite person, but I am also human and if I have to take several trips out and take time out of my evening to fix the mistakes of others when I should be home to enjoy dinner with my family, it becomes disturbing. if they pay $20 a teller and spend $60-80 an order, I expect what I paid without argument. lisa and the night staff at this place must practice integrity and be proud of their work. thicky 's, if this is how they train their manager to behave, they expect more complaining and higher turnover!
I work on GOG and tried this place for the first time earlier this week and loved it! I got wings and the Mac cheese and both tasted wonderful. My team and I all smelled like BBQ when we got back so even the office had a great aroma. As a southerner, i'm pretty particular about my Sweet tea and haven't really found good tea here in the springs, but this place knows how to make some tea! Highly suggest and would say this is a great work lunch spot or any meal spot.Parking: Plenty of parking available.
Worst meal I've ever had. I placed an order thru Grubhub at 8:05 pm. Dickey's closes at 8:45 pm, but my order was taken. I ordered half order of pork ribs, French fries, Mac cheese, Texas toast at .50 extra), and two blondie brownies 7.98). When I opened the bag, there were no brownies and a plain piece of white bread. When I opened the ribs, they were cooked on the outside and raw on the inside. I threw them out. if they can't manage a fully cooked and complete order, they should stop taking orders at a certain time. Very disappointed. I will never place another order with them again.
1/2 rack of ribs with sides of potato salad and cabbage slaw. Average to below average. Take out. Ribs were so fatty I couldn't eat them. I do like some bits of fat in my ribs but not solid glistening white fat as the predominate structure. Potato salad and cabbage slaw nothing to get excited about. Potato salad was yellow variety and may contain egg. This is a chain restaurant and I have had some chain Q that was very good, Like Dave's Famous. This particular experience was not.
My wife and I showed up for a late lunch (3:30 pm) and, unfortunately were very disappointed (putting it kindly). We ordered the special which was a 1/2 rack of ribs with 2 sides macaroni and cheese and hand cut french fries. The ribs were served at room temperature and when I asked the cook to reheat them for us, they were simply placed back in the warming cabinet for about 5 minutes and when served to us again were, not surprisingly , still at room temperature. I asked the cook what time the ribs were done cooking and was told about 10:00 am meaning that they 've been held below acceptable safe temperatures for likely 5 hours or more. The macaroni and cheese tasted like it was either from a #10 can or a box, but definitely not good quality. The hand cut fries were taken from a refer or freezer under the counter likely the freezer based upon the sound of them when they hit the hot oil but definitely what I would consider to be hand cut given there were no skins on the fries and they were all exactly the same size besides not having that, usually, unique fresh cut taste and texture. We will definitely not be back and will deter any of our friends or family from visiting the restaurant as well. We ended up throwing the ribs away to keep from possibly getting sick if eaten so we actually ended up paying close to $30 for 2 large sodas , a small side of mac and cheese and a 'regular ' order of fries. FWIW, my background includes 24 years of hospitality management (restaurants, bars, catering, etc).
