They can get all their favorites. Staff are always nice. To our last visit we had a server called Love. She was great with the kids have perfect our order. The restaurant is always clean and the service is usually timely. The problem I have is that they tend to escape from the stuff. In our last visit they were made of bananas for strawberry banana pancakes. And they were from the cake that was the main reason for our visit. I'm not a cake eater. In fact, I hate cakes with the exception of European chocolate cakes that they have about once a year. When I found out that this was the time I think was the only cake that was worth eating, we collected the children old people and drove way too fast into our neighborhood Village Inn. Guess what? Although there was an advertisement on the table for the master of all cakes, they were out. Not only were they out, but as tears our sad little faces flow down, we were informed that they were no longer getting. So we ate our food, which really meant to be just a precursor to Chocolate European Pie, the advertising for the cakes we could not have sat on our table mocking us. So to Village Inn powers that are, I have questions. What the hell? Why do you offer this royal cake only once a year? Why do you have such a small amount of them? And for God's sake, why do you leave the ad on the table for something you have neither or will offer in the near future?? Finally, how can I know when this rare, delicious contract will be available again? My parents are old. You can't have another year. I'd like to book one or five.
There was a long waiting period (about 45-50 min) for our food on the day we went, but the manager did it right by making us a piece of free cake. Fortunately, we were not pressed for the time, but could have found the experience frustrating when we were. Overall the food tasted great and the coffee was surprisingly good. Will definitely return.
I wrote this review only after my fourth visit and wanted to return. This is a nice casual restaurant with a good selection of menu items. They serve breakfast all day, but I haven't tried their breakfast yet. The two of us enjoyed every food we ordered. We have each repeated a previous menu item and found a little inconsistency in food, but it was good in both cases. Great place for some good ground meals without additional costs for theme atmosphere and extras. Very friendly staff, clean environment, we will return.
My family and I love eating here, but only this place. We had a great service, no matter when we came. The staff is always friendly and they know the menu well (no longer very often in most restaurants). The cakes are the best and the journey alone worth it! It's one of our favorite restaurants.
Always love this place, but today ran into our first issue here. I let the waitress know there was something very wrong with the coke slaw, thinking it was rotten. She didn't offer anything. So the meal we paid for was lacking it's side. Not the end of the world but certainly disappointing. I highly recommend the fish and chips regardless.
