Thunderbird Cafe - Columbia

This is not a typical sit down diner. You get paper plates and no waitress service. But the food was good and the price was a throw back to the eighties. Very inexpensive! If you don't mind the semi cafeteria style service this is a great deal.

Many drivers passing along Route 6 in Columbia might overlook this fantastic restaurant located within the Ford and Kia dealership. There are plenty of tables for seating, a diverse coffee menu, and for lunch, they offer a variety of seltzers, sodas, and milk. They often have a selection of soups available, like potato and steak soup, as well as cream of broccoli—which, by the way, was sold out by 1:00 PM! I can't wait to return with my family!

I had my first experience at this restaurant, and it was fantastic! The staff and management provided wonderful and thoughtful service. I enjoyed great food and a nice atmosphere while waiting for an oil change. The prices are very reasonable and remind me of the coffee shops my parents owned in New York. This time, I wasn't helping serve customers, which really brought back fond memories. Thank you so much for your kindness!

I absolutely love this place! Whenever I take my car in for service, I always enjoy stopping by for lunch or breakfast.

Michelle is truly amazing, and Josh has such a welcoming demeanor! I really adore Thunderbird Café! The food is delicious and priced at about half of what you'd find elsewhere. I can't express my satisfaction with enough stars!
