We had the shrimp and crawfish etouffée, which was fantastic. The pineapple upsidedown cake is most likely the best I ever had and the beignets are top of their class. The waitress was very nice. We'll be back:
Came here for dinner. The flavor wasn?t bad but the ingredients are really substandard. The shrimp seemed to be the cheap frozen shrimp you can find at walmart. We ordered a side of ?french bread? and it was basically a hot dog bun. I would come here againif the plates were under $10 but with the current menu it is way over-priced for what you are getting.
Atmosphere is DEFINITELY new Orleans vibe. I love it. It's VERY chill and peaceful in the building. The menu is straight to the point and I ordered corn hush puppies, Mardi Gras pasta, and Beignets. The hush puppies are good, they taste like corn nuggetsmore so than a hush puppy. The Mardi gras pasta is SO well seasoned that you don't have to add anything to it. It's VERY WELLMADE. Guys the Beignets!!! Are to die for. Perfectly made I must say. My husband ordered the triple sampler which is a pick 3entree sampler. He chose the jambalaya, seafood gumbo, and butter rice with sausage. I tasted all 3 of his and I must say theseppl can cook! The spices in it are the bomb it tastes so good.
The kids red beans and rice meal is way too spicy for a kid to actually eat. I got boudin and the taste is amazing, but it could have been a little crispier as it was fairly mushy. They also forgot some of our food but we didn?t want to drive back. But allin all, the taste is pretty good!
The food was good but its very misleading to call this brunch. They added eggs to their regular menue items and slapped the word brunch in front of the name. I ordered the fried green tomato Po Boy and my wife ordered the shrimp and grits with eggs .We hadmimosas that were fine nothing special and they only served them with orange juice. The star of the show in my opinion was theHush puppies. They were perfectly cooked with a small amount of corn kernals inside. They were well seasoned with a touch ofspice. Crispy on the outside warch and chewy on the inside. The cayenne ranch suace they paired along side it is fantastic.
