The place to be for quality queso and all things mex! You will be well attended to!
So delicious, I forgot to take photos but I was impressed. Will be adding to my Taco Tuesday rotation. You can tell it’s been recently renovated. The vibe is great! Feels like Arizona, kind of a Native Dessert Vibe with Turquoise accents. It was cold so we sat inside but the patio looks very nice and would be a great place to come in the spring/summer to enjoy. They have pretty good Mezcal Margaritas. I ordered the crab boules which had a sweet jalapeño cocktail sauce. I shared the Albuquerque Platter with my boyfriend, which was plenty. We even left with some leftovers that might not make it through the night. The platter had some of the best chorizo I’ve had in a while, with chicken and shrimp smothered in queso with pico. The rice was also really good.
So, they do not prepare their food locally, it is pre made, delivered and assembled by them. They do make the sauces and simple stuff (rice, beans etc). I feel dupped and very disappointed. This was our go to restaurant, and above discovered due to a food accident (now broken tooth due to a bone fragment in my dish thank you).
This is a great place we have been going to the original location for 20+ years. We now live out in the Polaris area and we thoroughly enjoy the food and the new patio is also a great spot for a meal when the weather cooperates. Give it a try, and if you like some heat, try the Anasazi sauce!
