We've ordered from here for many, many years. This little gem of an area takes me back to my time when I lived in Sasebo, Japan.Food: 5/5
Sushi is absolutely delicious but the price is a little high on specialty rolls for a takeout sushi spot.Food: 4/5
This place used to be one of the go to spots around town for some good sushi, but not anymore. I usually get a Chirashi bowl because it was a good assortment for a decent price. The last few times I've had it though, the fish has been nowhere near as good as it used to be, and for $23, it's just gotten too expensive for the quality you get.It used to be $16 for a bowl, and everything inside of it was delicious, but now at $23 with mid-level sushi at best, this just ain't the spot anymore. If you're in the area, I highly suggest checking out the ramen next do, as well as the grocer, or the bakery around the corner. As for sushi, just find somewhere else.Edited to add that although the food is lackluster, the staff there are always incredibly friendly, if not for that, this place would only be 2 stars.
Wasn't impressed with the sushi at all...We simply ordered tuna rolls and squash roll in both were very unimpressive. Although these are very simple and generic roles, it's kind of my test sushi to determine how good the place is. If you can do the simplest of rolls exquisitely then you have me as a customer to come back for the expensive better rolls.
Pretty good sushi, everything seems fresh besides the uni (sea urchin). Just steer clear of the uni and you’ll have a good meal.
