The Thurman Cafe - Columbus

I stopped by this restaurant after hearing that it serves the best burgers in Columbus. The atmosphere has a casual, slightly rundown bar vibe, where it seems like everyone has signed their name on the walls. The service was excellent, and the food was pretty good considering it's bar fare. I ordered the Thurman burger, and it was massive—so tall that I felt like I had to dislocate my jaw just to take a decent bite. Unfortunately, the ham on the burger was cold, which threw off the experience when I reached the center. Eating the burger was quite messy; you really had to commit to it completely, and even then, the homemade patty tended to fall apart. I think it could benefit from a flatter patty and a wider bun to make it easier to handle. Overall, the flavor was solid. It may not be the best burger I've ever had, but it's definitely a worthwhile option.

This is a fantastic local bar that’s always bustling with activity. Be prepared to wait for a table. The monster burgers are incredible, but they'll be cooked well done unless you request a different preparation. The drinks are generously poured, which is a nice touch. While they offer other menu options, who goes to Thurman's without ordering a burger? Just a heads up—parking can be a bit of a hassle. It's best to park a couple of blocks away and take a short walk; you'll be glad you did after enjoying your burger!

My word for this joint is phenomenal! Wow, smack your momma delicious burgers! Everyone enjoyed their meal! The burgers are huge and incredibly juicy! I ate the blue cheese burger and couldn't stop eating because it tasted so good. Eventually, I hadto because I couldn't stuff another bite in. But trust me I took what I had left home and enjoyed it the next day! Our serviceway excellent. And for as poppin' as that place was she did a fantastic job keeping up! Overall, I highly recommend this TheThurman Cafe if you're looking for the best burgers you can find Columbus. We will definitely be returning! Tried the A1-Burger today! It was also phenomenal! Looking around you notice things you didn't see previously. It's like a time capsule inthere! I just love the food and the atmosphere! Amazing!

We ordered the fried mushrooms and fried pickles, along with the American Burger and the bacon burger topped with Swiss cheese and mushrooms. I included a knife and a salt shaker for size comparison, and you can see just how big these burgers are. They are absolutely delicious and among the juiciest burgers I’ve ever had. I drive nearly an hour just for this burger, and it’s definitely worth the trip. As shown in the photos, they forgot to bring our chips initially, but they did provide a basket for us to share later. I just wish they had offered two smaller plates for the chips so we weren’t both reaching into the same bowl. Overall, this restaurant is amazing and always bustling with customers. If you're willing to wait, it’s well worth it!

A very characteristic and unique place in the German Village of Columbus. I wasn?t expecting anything fancy, but the environment is different and definitely pub-style. I liked it very much because it is way different compared to other new cool burgerplaces. Food was very good. I loved the fries (the gravy is very delicious) but especially the burger. I got the ?ThurmanBurger? and it was huge. I was struggling to eat it, but every bite was delicious and I really liked the quality of the beef. Itwill be probably in my top-3 favorite burgers in Columbus. I suggest everyone to try it and I?ll definitely go back there soon!
