El Cortijo - Comas

We are renting an apartment in Barranco for a month and are working our way through the local restaurants slowly but surely. This is the first one I have been tempted to review. A love Y building with great ambience. On a Friday night it was busy but not to busy. The service was the best we have experienced in many months of travelling around South America. This was one of the first parrilla we have visited to offer a hamburger, always a good test! My burger was large, perfectly cooked and served with a choice of accompaniments and a mountain of fries. My wife opted for the half chicken which again, was large and perfectly cooked. On arrival we were served a plate of crudités, dips and bread. The dips were the best ever in Peru. For some reason we were also give complimentary Pisco sours. Unexpected, but very welcome. Whilst dining we saw others being served the Parrillada especial which immediately made us decide to return next week to give that a try. Definitely worth a visit if staying in Barranco, in fact would be worth a trip out from Miraflores!

Great place for meat in a beautiful old house. It´s new location is by the Museo Pedro de Osma in Callao with plenty of parking. We had ribeye, salmon, chicken and lomo saltado and all of them were extraordinary. Very nice service. Would definitely go back.

A great steak restaurant. It has reopened afer more than 10 years , at a new place in Barranco, with parking facilities. Angus beef and great service.

El Cortijo es un lugar que solo por el nombre trae muchos recuerdos. La infraestructura es unica, la decoracion de primera. La atencion de cada uno de los mozos es magnifica. Ni que decir de la comida, la carne en su punto y su famoso pollo, aun sigue igual de rico. El lugar es un poco dificil de llegar, pero cuenta con estacionamiento disponible y bastante amplio. Además tiene entrada ( con costo ) al museo Pedro De Osma via un tunel subterraneo que conecta el Cortijo con el museo. Espectacular.

Fui con toda la familia, el ambiente es muy acogedor y la atención es de primera. LA comda es promedio, el precio también.
