Go early as it gets warm in the summer but the walk drop the shuttle drop off point to the base of the falls is paved and pleasant. The is a tram you can take for those with difficulty walking take it! Another tip by the gift shop area there is a tunnel that leads you to an elevator Whi h takes you to a viewing platform where you have an excellent view of the Seven Falls go! Enjoy this attraction as only the Broadmoor could present it to us…first class and beautiful in all ways.
This is a must visit in Colorado Springs. If you are driving here, park your car at1045 Lower Gold Camp Rd. They have regular shuttles to the entrance of Seven FallsSenior’s ticket include the tram to the base of the waterfall. If you are able body, enjoy the walk to the base of the waterfall. The walk to the base of the waterfall is casual and very relaxing. The rock formations on the trail is simply stunning. There are two main hikes and they are very manageable. One has an elevator to the top which is pretty cool. The hike to the 7 waterfalls is steep but doable. Kids, dogs, and adults of all ages were part of the hike during our visit. Remember to bring some water and wear some hiking or tennis shoes. Enjoy this beautiful outdoor activity with easy access from Colorado Springs.
I have to say a lot has changed since we were here last. Last time we were here we got to drive up close to the fall and get out and walk up. That was NOT the case at all this time. We had to meet at a random dirt parking lot about 10 mins away from the actual falls. They have a bus service to pick you up and take you to the falls now. They drop you off at the gate now and you have to either 1) walk alllllll the way up to the top probably about a mile walk 2) buy trolley tickets. We were not aware of this, so when we saw trolly tickets for sale we didn’t think we would need them. Last time we were here we parked so close, we thought why would we need a trolley? We were not prepared to walk up the falls, we didn’t wear the right shoes or bring water. Soo please know if you don’t buy trolly tickets wear good walking shoes, bring some water, and be prepared to hike! The hike is very very beautiful though. Its well worth walking it if you can. We really enjoyed the walk I just wish we had known so we could have worn better attire. The falls itself are just as beautiful as they were last time we were there. Everything is clean and there are some great places to take photos!
Beautiful and the restaurant there is nice too. The tram will take you to the base of the falls for 4 bucks, it is probably a mile walk without it. One of the two spots has an elevator where you can see the falls from higher up, if you want to get to the top of the falls it is a lot of stairs but there is spot to take a break.
Ok ok I say this as an avid hiker who usually refuses to pay for “attractions” involving nature this was well worth the money if you have anyone in town that has a more moderate fitness level or issue walking/hiking.First the falls are really nice. They’re not Niagara Falls. But they’re beautiful.Second my mom uses a walker. She simply can’t go many places in COS because the ground is uneven. Seven falls allowed her to walk around Cheyenne canyon but the tram and the elevator allowed her to be a little independent in where she spent her time.Third I got to take my family to a really beautiful spot with an elevator and chairs and anything my mom might have needed. It was a really relaxing day. My dad, at 75, climbed to the top of the falls and had a blast. The staff were incredible the entire day. Seriously kudos to the Broadmoor for hiring and training their staff to be helpful, aware and gracious. We don’t have a lot to do in the springs if you want to stay on paved ground, which obviously makes sense. But it was so nice to be able to take my parents to something that shows off the nature nearby without my mom having to drag her walker through washed out trails. (I know..I know..we are getting her all terrain wheels next time she visits)
