Ordered the advertised wings and was told they ran out due to The Dirty Byrd closing down forever starting on January 20, 2024. The waitress was very nice and apologetic about the situation. Very disappointed we didn’t get to experience the greatness.
My wife and I couldn't even eat our meals because everything was loaded with salt. We also each ordered a cocktail and those were equally as terrible. My wife ordered a Margarita witch tasted like lime water and I ordered the rum punch witch tasted like pineapple juice mixed with lemon juice. I took one sip and that was it. Absolutely awful. The waitress offered to have us order something else off the food menu but did not offer to remake the drinks. Walked out of there without eating or drinking anything and still got a 30 dollar bill.
Ordered the Southerner and the Sampler appetizer and Duck Confit Mac. The Sampler was supposed to have their egg rolls. The waitress warned us when we first put in the order that they have been running out of the egg rolls. Waitress came back and said they were out of the egg rolls, as well as the noodles for the mac, which they have several types of mac on the menu. The waitress brought out the sampler. Chef had put extra boneless wings since they were out of the egg rolls. The wings were really salty. Waitress brought out the Southerner burger. Menu said it was fried chicken. Was expecting a piece of fried chicken like a breast or thigh. Instead it was 3 or 4 pieces of boneless wings. Was hard to tell how many pieces with how much slaw was on top. The sauce made it impossible to pick up the buns. Even if I had been able to, the small pieces of boneless wings would have just fallen out. The shoestring fries, cheese curds, and fried pickles were good, fried pickles had a surprising kick to them, but not horrible.
Not sure how they can charge $14 for a the smallest chicken sandwich in the world . What a waste of money. Definitely do not recommend this
The service was stellar (I was the only patron for a while, though). The food was good. Seemed to be fresh ingredients. I had the wrap. The chicken was crispy as was the lettuce. It came with a ton of nicely-seasoned fries. I'll be back to try some other things.
