We had delicious paninis with ham cheese and tomato and a coffee. Like most pavement cafes there are many small tables crammed into a small space, but service is quick and efficient. Nice setting though in an historic square.
It was a rainy Saturday night and we ran into the first welcoming restaurant that we found in the plaza and hoped for the best. Big mistake! The meal was less than average and was served with all the enthusiasm of my wilted lettuce. Tomato sauce on the gnocchi could have been straight out of a can no flavor! Service was slow despite the appearance of plenty of staff. On a good note, it was a great location for people watching and they had a full bar with a TV so if you're not eating than this is the place for you.
Service parfait, serveuse écoute et bienveillant, bon marché et surtout très bon. Je recommande sans hésitation. Bravo !
The place itself is facing the little square of Volta with some other restaurants, but you can also see the lake, which make the café very atmospheric. We had 2 pizzas which we liked very much and their price was all ok. The only negative thing we experienced was that the service was very slow but as we were on holiday there it was not a problem at all. If you want to go to a nice place in Como I would recommend this place.
