A visit to Madrid is not complete without visiting this restaurant. 15 Euros will get you a two-course meal with a drink, bread and bit of tapas. The food is wholesome but basic but it 's worth remembering that the mission of this restaurant is to charge the rich and feed the poor . Paying customers can dine at breakfast or lunch and this covers the bill to enable the restaurant to feed the homeless to dinner at no cost.

This is the worst restaurant i have ever seen in my life. my brother and I entered the restaurant on april 8 at noon, the waiter was outside speaking on the phone. We start to get angry when he entered, kept talking on the phone and ignoring us. It was really very disrespectfull when we said hello...ola..hi...help...etc. to the chef inside and didn 't come at least to welcome us. I went directly to the waiter that was standing inside, close to the door) asking him for a menu with no results as he remained focus on his phone call. In couple of minutes, we decided to leave and remove this bad experience in madrid. After visiting the majority of the european countries, i can say that this cafe has the worst service ever. Phantastische Idee am Abend Bedürftige zu einem Essen einzuladen! Heard it in the German broadcast. They serve an evening meal free of charge for poor people. All the best!
