Chako Bbq Izakaya - Concord

This restaurant had some incredible chicken! Typically, we avoid ordering chicken at places like this because it can be rather dull, but this was a whole new experience. The marinade was so flavorful that we even requested some on the side to use for marinating shrimp, which surprised them, but they were more than happy to help! Overall, we enjoyed fantastic food and exceptional service.

Visited the Vaughan location for a second time. The food was good and the restaurant was clean. Service has improved since our first visit but there is still room for improvement. Like bringing out the tofu, reddish and other side dishes first like other locations. But once we got rolling everything went smoothly. Food has been consistently good. Staff was friendly and helpful and we see things are progressing for the better. We will definitely be back to visit the same location.

Food was delicious. Atmosphere was really nice, the place itself was beautiful!! The service was good, but I feel like a lot of things were forgotten or very late after they brought some of it. This could definitely be because we had a decent sized party, so no fault to the wait team. Will say though, it was very expensive for a bill for 4 people. TONS of food though, but still pretty pricy..

The decor and atmosphere were pleasant, but I wouldn’t return due to the strict seating time limit. For a restaurant with such a lovely setting and high prices, the imposed time limit is quite off-putting. Right as you enter, the host informs you that you have just 90 minutes at the table, which dampens the whole experience. I found myself constantly aware of the time we had left to prepare our food. The grill itself takes around 10 minutes to heat up, and when you factor in the delays in service, it makes dining very stressful. I wouldn’t recommend this place for families or larger groups, as it forces you to rush through your meal. To make matters worse, they often don’t bring you the correct items you requested on the order sheets.

The quality of the meat isn't great. Unlike K-Grill, they don't offer a dipping sauce for your cooked meat; you have to request a specific sauce to add some flavor. It seems that there are fewer meat options available now compared to before the pandemic, and the selection of side dishes also appears to be limited.
