Komatsu - Concord

We were recommended the Nagasaki noodles during our last visit, and we decided to order them this time. It definitely did not disappoint! The karaage yaki soba was also good; the karaage was slightly broken, which allowed us to taste more of the chicken. This has definitely become one of our favorite Japanese dining spots in Sydney.

I tried several dishes, and they were all delicious. The tuna bell sashimi was divine! It was fresh and flavorful. There wasn't much variation, but it was still excellent. The hot salmon dish was also great—absolutely divine! The wasabi leaves were a new experience for me, and they were very tasty! If I were a local, I'd definitely visit more often.

This Japanese restaurant near my home is fantastic. If you're in search of an authentic local Japanese dining experience, look no further. The service is outstanding, and the chef is very attentive. The sashimi and nigiri were incredibly fresh. I highly recommend trying the gyoza—the filling is as close to what you would find in Japan. Overall, I definitely recommend this place!

Relatively new restaurant in Concord and very much in a traditional style with an elegant comfortable decor. Only seats some 30 people with some around the sashimi bar, so booking is advised. Mainly Japanese staff, particularly the raw fish chef, usually a good sign. Service can be a little tentative, but is courteous, therefore overall satisfactory. We had sashimi which was wonderfully presented, each piece being of a good size, and very fresh. Then had sushi which was again carefully prepared, but outshone by the excellence of the sashimi. Absolutely impressive sushi. I don't say this lightly but best sushi I've ever had! Everything is absolutely delicious. Such a hidden gem. Only locals know about! Definitely should try.
