Food was excellent. Great atmosphere and the owner is a very nice man named Chris. We jumped here in the new year and had the time of our life. Very recommended.
Food excellent and good choice. Staff very attentive and friendly. Trio of musicians provide background music. Lovely surroundings to dine in. Outdoor and wonderful indoor dining experiences. If you only have one meal in Constanta make sure you don 't miss this little gem. It is situated in the old town and the waiter Nico speaks wonderful english and will oblige you by answering any queries you may have about Romania and its history.
I went there with a group of travelers (as guide). Everything was previously arranged, so I could not make any change. All the streets around the restaurant look like after bombing (I will add some pictures). The table was set on the terrace even if I called before and I answered that I prefer to be set inside the restaurant. The view was sensational (some hideous windowless facades, in the middle of a building site). The food was (almost) acceptable if you like cold sausages, for example , but nothing to make you cross the war zone . My advice: avoid the Peninsula zone of Constantza and find a decent restaurant in the central part of the city!
Three of us had a delicious dinner at Casa Constanta. We tried some local dishes and had the house red wine that was good. The only negative feature was the band that was very loud. We got the opportunity to sit in the bar area so we could at least entertain ourselves. Later in the evening there were some Romanian folk dancers and if we stayed later, we would have had a free suction pig. We would certainly go again, but take your earplugs!! Our bill came about £30 for two courses and drinks.
