Back to eat before taking the bus back down. I had the roast beef with salad and country fries. Very nice! On a Sunday it was very busy and the staff a little stressed. But taking everything into consideration, this mountain refuge deserves 5 stars for the food, service and location!! I went up on a Sunday morning with the post bus. I had a latte, then a walk around the lake. The “lake tour” is a large loop around but takes less than an hour. Very pretty. Return to eat before going back down by bus. I had the roast beef with salad and 'country ' fries. Very good! On Sunday, there were a lot of people and the staff were a little stressed. But all things considered, this mountain retreat deserves 5 stars for food, service and location!!
Magnificent place but terrible welcome. The boss clearly overwhelmed by events, as unpleasant with customers as with staff. We were greeted with a have you booked? ... no Hello , no smile.... Good food nonetheless.
The Refuge is beautifully located next to the youngest natural lake in Switzerland. The food was delicious and the staff catered to all our needs… they even gave me a separate cheese fondue because of my allergy to mustard seeds which they add to their fondue „nature“. Derborence is a place of rare untouched beauty. The restaurant made the trip even more memorable.
We stayed in one of the apartments which was very comfortable after a long hike and the staff were very welcoming. The food was delicious and a great view of Lake Derborence.
My friend and I stayed here for one night while doing the Tour des Muverans. We were very enthusiastic about this place: great location next to the lake friendly hosts which helped us with the route for our walk room was neat with view on the lake Minor point of improvement: 4CHF for a shower
