Fabulous old fireplace entices you to take the weight off your feet and gaze at the numerous books and antiques as you walk in. It's hard to keep eye contact with your friends whilst talking as this curiosity type shop tempts you to constantly look at its many delights. Cream tea was lovely but it's the surroundings that make this place a worthy visit.
This café surpasses the typical café with its unique decor, but the food and drinks are just average.
Where do I begin? I adore this place. It's a proper old curiosity shop with wonderful items and an amazing old building. The tearoom is fabulous and the ploughman's is divine. Proper slab of cheese and chunks of bread. The owner is a friendly guy. Beware though, if you visit once, you'll be back time and time again. One of my favourite places
Afternoon teas (varied choice/prices) excellent value Fresh tasty., The cherry scones the best in the whole area.
Lunch today. Really nice homemade soup and bread and tea and bara brith to follow. The cafe is part of an antique/bric-a-brac/ book shop so lots of interesting things to look at while you wait.
