Stroud's Barbeque - Cookeville

Today was our first visit to Stroud's Barbeque. We are definitely coming back!

Had the daily special, the pulled pork plate. Was about $8 or so after tax. This was one of the better deals I’ve seen anywhere in the U.S. in 2024. People are critical of the pork being dry but I’m someone where I love combining my food together. You can combine the pork with the Mac and cheese or vinegar slaw that I got and it’s great. The only knock would be the small shot glass worth of bbq sauce you get but I imagine they go through a lot of the sauce throughout the day. Subbing the jalapeño corn bread for the roll was a great decision on my end. This was one of the best value meals I’ve had in a while. 10/10 would visit again!

Got the nachos. It was good but I git the beans on the side. Would have been weird with beans on the nachos I think but separately they were great and the nachos were good but the chips seemed a little stale. The sweet tea isn't as good as it used to be when my mom worked there. She made it better and sweeter.

First time being here. Loved the BBQ baked potato. Will definitely be back.

Great little place to grab lunch and dinner. Nice and clean to.
