Le Cafe Enchante - COOLANGATTA

Stopped in for breakfast on a whim as it looked bright and busy. A bit surprised at the prices but thought, naively, it must be worth it. Food was, at best, average through to terrible. The eggs benedict, at $20, were the worst I've ever had. Two poorly cooked eggs, two fridge cold, microscopically thin slices of ham on top of some stodgy, untoasted bread, and a scattering of baby spinach leaves. All slathered in an unpleasant attempt at hollandaise. At least there were no eggshells in mine like the family at the next table. And we had to wait nearly an hour. Staff seem all very young and inexperienced (except for one), and generally uninterested.

You're paying for the ocean view that's for sure. $80 for breakfast (2x adults & 2 children under 4yrs old). The table was too small to accommodate 3 plates and drinks. My wife ordered a cinnamon crepe but it came with lemon and there was no mention of lemon in the description. There was a lemon and sugar crepe on the menu. To top it off, we were overcharged so lucky we checked our docket. We received a refund of the overcharge. Really disappointing overall. Staff were ok.

I was in Coolangatta for a couple of nights and on my morning walk after breakfast, I called into Le Cafe Enchante for a take away coffee. Friendly staff and great coffee started my day well. Definitely be back next time I'm in Coolangatta.

I've just been at this terrible cafe in Coolangatta. I've ordered a decaf cappuccino and ended up getting a normal one. When I went to complain the girl didn't offer another coffee neither apologised. Plus, when I went to take the cup back to her she literally expelled me from her place, screaming 'get out of my coffee'. I was shocked, I've never had any experiences like that before. Plus, there were dirty plates on the table by our side all the time. The same girl was walking pass and never took them off. Terrible!

Poor quality food. No love for the profession. Very expensive. Won't be back. Sorry for them because lovely furnishings lured us in.
