What a pleasant experience .. It not only felt warm, welcoming and friendly.. I loved the way the place was decorated. I'm away from home. We were welcomed and served by the owner himself ..and pampered with wonderful food prepared by his wife (the cook).. It's the best cooking salad I've had for a long time. The next morning we were back with our hunters for breakfast. They were also impressed.. Many grrreat coffee and everything that was ordered was hard and deee-licious. We also enjoyed the beautiful gift shop to buy some souvenirs. I couldn't resist buying the sweet filled black bear. We do not go so often.but when we do.. we will stop definately and treat ourselves to another fantastic culinary experience.. Segnungen Happy customers
GREAT PLACE. During the trip around the lake we looked for a place to eat and found Ardy's Cafe. The first time I ordered her Ruben sandwich was great. We all had something else for lunch and I'll tell you everyone loved it. We made a special trip around the lake back for dinner and I had the curry rice soup, excellent! Prim Rib...crazy good. We all had something different again and none of us had a bad thing to say, the service is great, the food even better. A beautiful place to have a quick bite or a nice meal with someone.
We visited over Labor Day, we were a group of 10 and they got us seated in a very reasonable amount of time for a large group on a Sunday morning. The food was awesome! But what made this visit special was the service. Carissa knocked it out of the park!!!!!! It was my friend’s birthday and she made her feel so special, made our kids feel welcome, and really made our breakfast an overall great experience. We will be back!
Coolin is a charming town, though there is a vibe of not really wanting outsiders around throughout the town. I understand their feelings, though it certainly can be a little offputting. Like a deer being watched. We dined at Ardin's Cafe at the end of a camping trip. The restaurant offers massive portions and hearty, homecookin' style foods. We dined out front with our dog. They brought out a bowl of water for our pup, which I thought was really nice and considerate. It appeared there was a back patio area. But I didn't feel comfortable looking around. (That's my own anxiety speaking right there I always feel so anxious in another person's space, ya know? So we stuck to the front area. Right next to where we sat was an awesome gift shop on the inside of the restaurant with some neat little treats and trinkets. There's a whole huckleberry designated section : and some nice looking clothing. We purchased an adorable funfetti moose stuffed animal our daughter loves it : the prices were really reasonable and I could tell they put thought and care into the space. Everybody on the team in the restaurant worked together with almost a familial familiarity. They were cordial and polite but we didn't speak much. Our food was brought in a timely manner and served with a thoughtful care. The burgers were delectable and hefty! My husband and I love to eat, but we could have definitely split that burger and still been full. The stack of pancakes were so fluffy and enjoyable! The food was exactly what we needed for the last celebratory night of our camping trip : I did speak to one of the servers for a moment while paying the bill or possibly the owner of the restaurant? I wasn't too sure. We spoke about lost loved ones and how time catches up to us all eventually how we need to enjoy our time that we have. To really cherish what we have in our lives. I hope the restaurant continues to flourish with good people, even more delicious food, and enjoyment through and through ? Oh, also! I just looked on their website, and apparently they have thai/pho night!? What?! Yummm! What a fun idea for a restaurant to implement ? Kid friendliness: There was plenty of space for the kiddos to run around while waiting for food since we were next to s little side gravel road that had a young kiddo riding his bike. He was very welcoming to our kids and showed them all his toys. It was pretty adorable and very sweet of that kid : Also, the gift shop is a treat!
Great lunch spot. Fun atmosphere. Not too busy, and great service. Parking: Larger parking lot. Plenty of room
