Unfortunately, the bakery doesn't offer a view. However, the pies and other pastries were delicious and full of flavor. My partner ordered a ham and salad roll and loved the quality of the ingredients and the taste of the roll. I tried a bite and thought it was delicious too.
We were excited for some coffee and cake, but unfortunately, the service at the first cafe we tried was incredibly rude. Despite patiently waiting at the counter, the staff member just continued to butter bread without acknowledging us or saying hello. There was only one other couple in the cafe at the time, so it seemed there was no reason for the lack of attention. We decided to leave and went to a different cafe down the road, located across from the painted silos. The service there was much better, with a warm welcome and immediate attention even though the cafe was busy with other customers. The painted silos were impressive as well.
We stopped for lunch. I had a chunky mushroom pie and a cheese and spinach roll. My wife had a pasty. The pie was excellent with a soft and edible crust and large pieces of meat and mushroom inside. The cheese and spinach roll was unique in its construction. Imagine a tube of greasy pastry with a sliver of spinach on one side and regular cheese on the other side. Not the rolls that I am used to thick ones full of tasty silver beet with feta cheese mixed through. My wife found the pasty nondescript and made mainly with potato.
Great little shop for breakfast. The ladies were very helpful the cooked breakfast was appreciated
