Checked out this place last night and it was great. The Hawaiian cheesy fries were AMAZING!!! Anyone who comes should definitely try it out. Price was good considering how generous the serve was.
Service: one word. Uber. when you arrive ask them how long the wait will be behind all the uber eats orders! i am over being a cash customer turning up to joints, looking around to see how many tables have not been served, asking the owner how long the wait is with the Uber eats orders to be told long wait times when i am paying cash and the restaurant has to pay Uber 35% !!! other than that the service is always first rate. Food: three words: trim the fat. i get the super yummy brisket, and i always ask them to trim the fat off the meat otherwise i get too much fat. lots of fat. other than that the meat is truely awesome ! yes, have fries with that! the fries at W.E.C are off the hook brilliant !!! the best i have had. get them. Value: it is there. the value for money is good; tonight, however bumped by the wait behind the Uber mob, i went to my standby 'King Ahirams' around the corner on Vulture street and i was reminded of what suburb value looks like. Ambiance: the ambiance is brilliant being right in the middle of West End street life. If they get back to their roots, customers walking the streets of West End looking for brilliant quick grub, and put uber in its place [behind real customers], I will give them 5 stars.

Time for me to update my review for West End Charcoal. I've been here a number of times and had their lamb yiros (the ordinary one). The lamb meat for the yiros is soft tender and juicy, but that said - there isn't usually enough of it! The bread is warm and soft and the salad is good. Today Mrs Kan Do and I had the lamb shoulder yiros, and the meat was even better and there was enough this time. We also ordered a Greek salad and haloumi. The haloumi was cooked perfectly - it was soft, melt-in-your-mouth goodness. The Greek salad was a little unusual with its dressing, I wouldn't call it a traditional Greek salad dressing, but the salad was fresh and tasty with the dressing providing enough zing and tang for flavour. The fried chicken wings with hot sauce that we ordered as takeaway later (and had with a gozleme from the Boundary St markets) was nothing special. Fried hot but not a lot flavour. Overall good comfort food here, and I would stick to the yiros, haloumi and the salads.
