Kathy's Kitchen Drive In - Cooperstown

I called to check if the restaurant was open on Sunday, and they confirmed it, but didn’t provide any extra details. After driving 10 miles out of our way just for an ice cream cone, we discovered they were completely out of ice cream. It would have been helpful to know this when I called.

Fortunately, a young woman named Deborah (not sure of the spelling) stepped in and calmly addressed the situation with the owner. Deborah, you were fantastic, and your customer service skills are something the owner could definitely learn from.

This restaurant has undergone a transformation! Now called Grumpy's, it offers delicious ice cream and lunch baskets. We were pleasantly surprised by the fresh, updated decor. We tried the cheese curds and Dr. Pepper as a snack, and they were fantastic! Make sure to visit for friendly service and excellent food.
