Two Rivers - Copper Center

Great lodge in a remote area of Alaska. The staff can be overwhelmed with cruise passengers at times and tours can be hard to come by. Luckily our trip was saved by meeting Neil! He got us on a fishing trip the front desk had canceled and got us set up on a UTV tour with Edge Outdoors. Miranda was absolutely awesome! Highlight of our stay. F B needs some work. The restaurant is chaotic at breakfast and dinner. Plus a manager is non existent most of the time. They desperately need some grab go options. Ethan at the front desk was also amazing with our late night check in and he remembered my name they whole stay.

Great location, but the giftshop would NOT accept cash. I only wanted a couple post cards (and had exact change) but they insisted I pay via CC, so I left without the Postcards. The Biscuits and Gravy wasn't bad, but have had better.

The view was stupendous, looking at the mountains. The service was good, we did not wait long, and the wait staff was very friendly and neat in appearance.  The selection was small choices with respect to choice in food. The price seemed high for the quality of food received. Salads and desserts were good but the quality of meat was only mediocre. The reality is you don’t have much choice at this lodge.  the salmon chowder soup was quite tasty, and the salads were well prepared with a good variety of greens and vegetables. The prime rib was disappointing.

Food was expensive, and not to my liking. It was fancy and the staff were great. Not my cup of tea.

Good food that tasted great, but was served lukewarm. Very rushed, so don’t order your entree until you are ready for it to come out in 3-4 minutes. If you order everything at once, it will all come out at once. Not ideal food timing for a nice restaurant for a vacation dinner. We had to ask for bar drinks and were never offered a second drink. Very, very nice, but inexperienced server.
