Growing up, my family and I would come to this restaurant often. I always loved the food. I recently came in by myself for lunch and was deeply disturbed by the interaction I had with my server. I did not catch her name, but she has a distinct haircut of short red hair. I paid using the machine and planned on leaving a tip in cash (having worked in the service industry myself, I know for a fact that it is better to tip your servers in cash to help avoid kickback fees). However, when she saw that I did not select the tip option on the machine, she VERY loudly cried out, No tip?! It was embarrassing and so incredibly rude of her. The entitlement was off the charts. I explained that I was leaving her cash, but the whole interaction turned me off. I will unfortunately not be coming back to this restaurant, much preferring an establishment that does not humiliate its customers.
The taste of food is definitely different from hk’s style. Taste so bad. The egg is over cooked and the lemon tea is too sweet and has a weird after taste. Will never try it.
When I was asking for to-go boxes for my meal, the staff there were very diligent and delivers on-point service. The food is great. The restaurant can be busy, but it always meets the clientele’s needs. Thank you, Copa Café!!Kid-friendliness: Kid’s Meal is on the menu.
Copa Cafe, a popular Hong Kong-style restaurant in Vancouver, is a hidden gem that I frequent when I'm in the mood for a hearty meal. Although there are only two other Hong Kong-style restaurants in Coquitlam, I prefer Copa Cafe for its extensive menu options and exceptional service compared to its competitors. If you become a member, which costs $15 per year, you can enjoy a 10% discount on all orders, which is a great deal. One of the highlights of Copa Cafe is their breakfast menu, which boasts generous portions that won't hurt your wallet despite the current high prices. On my recent visit, I opted for the satay beef noodle and shared the cheese, spinach, and bacon omelette with my husband. We also ordered two cups of their famous Hong Kong-style milk tea. After applying the 10% membership discount, our bill was a reasonable $23 with the tip included.Overall, we were pleased with both the quality and quantity of our breakfast. The flavors were satisfactory, and the portions were generous. Copa Cafe is a must-visit spot for anyone who loves Hong Kong-style cuisine and wants to try something new. The ambiance is cozy, and the service is top-notch, making it an ideal spot for a date or a casual gathering with friends.
