Kaiko Sushi Japanese - Coquitlam

Fabulous, diligent and religious! this restaurant came to our rettung an christmas for our dinner. big day, tons fun and run on empty we ordered this beautiful party board for the first time and we were used to the attention to detail, quality taste and ingredients and also for a great order, no short cut. we are so grateful that we have passed on this jewel of a restaurant so grateful that they were open and have taken away time from their family to feed our many. this is our new go to spot

Heard from friend this is worth a shot, immediately can tell it is chinese owner. We ordered a couple hot food and sushi. It turn out hot food are ok deep fried food are good like the sitaka mushrooms but the steam egg and teapot steam soup is fishy if you like sushi you should help yourself to go to place like sushi Kilala...

Very peaceful, ambient atmosphere. Food is delicious with good plating. Even though they don’t have enough staff on the night I went there, the chef apologized in advance and asked if we were ok with it.

We stopped by this restaurant over the weekend for lunch. We were seated right away. Menus and tea were dropped off. We ordered a number of items: scallop carpaccio, lobster roll, spicy salmon oshi, uni nigiri, assorted sashimi and nabeyaki udon. The restaurant was busy and only a few staff were running the restaurant. Food took some time to arrive. We enjoyed the quality of the food. However, the assorted sashimi was one of the weaker items. I was not impressed with the octopus and surf clam being half the sashimi selection and I expected more variety for the price. The rest of the food was much better. The lobster roll was okay. I could not really taste the lobster part, but it was a nicely made roll. The scallop carpaccio was good with a citrus sauce. The uni was fresh and creamy. The salmon oshi was tasty with the seasoned rice and seared salmon. The udon had a good amount of toppings and had a sweet broth. This restaurant has some interesting items on their menu. It is worth trying if you are in the area. There was a steady flow of customers at 2 pm so it seems to be quite popular in the area. The restaurant is small and can only seat 24 customers. There is ample parking on the plaza.

Very nice and cozy place. Good for lunch and dinner. Fresh food good price.
