The Keg Steakhouse Coquitlam

I must say, the steak was cooked perfectly! Since the BBY location is currently undergoing renovations, we drove to this one to celebrate my husband's birthday. The Beef Wellington was incredible, although quite rich, and even the vegetables that accompanied my sirloin were cooked to perfection. This was my first time trying the wings, and if you love blue cheese, you will definitely enjoy them. The service was excellent as well!

Dining at the Keg was an absolute pleasure! The waitress was so friendly and asked us twice if we were celebrating something special. No other restaurant has asked us that before! She was very attentive and our waters were never left empty. The food was tasty but I don't think the food was special. However, I gave them 5 stars because I would come back again and again for the service.

Great experience overall, made a reservation online for 6:45 PM which was honoured when I arrived without hassle and we were seated in 2 mins (sounds standard but not always the case at every restaurant). Though the restaurant was packed the waiter was attending us within 5 mins of being seated and the rest of the service was prompt and well communicated (he literally gave us ball park times on the appetizers arriving to the entrees). I always enjoy my time here! The service is friendly and the food is delicious. The atmosphere is quite luxurious, making it a great place to enjoy with friends and family. It can get a bit noisy, but it didn't bother me, even though we were seated in the middle of the restaurant. They weren't taking reservations due to being fully booked, but we noticed that they still accepted walk-ins and there were available seats (I assume they keep some spots open for walk-in guests). Overall, I had a great experience!

The service here is excellent, and the quality of the meat is very good. The space and the building are also nice, and the overall organization is commendable. However, the side dishes were terrible; they were some of the most bland options I've encountered in a long time. I'm not saying they were necessarily unappetizing, as that can be subjective, but they lacked flavor entirely. After enjoying the meat, I found myself uninterested in continuing to eat. If you're looking to enjoy a variety of dishes and not just the meat, this may not be the right place for you. As for desserts, after my disappointing experience, I only dared to try one, which was moderately good.
