As someone from a Puerto Rican family, I have a deep appreciation for traditional Puerto Rican cuisine. After relocating to Miami from New Jersey, I noticed that there aren't many Puerto Rican restaurants around. I've visited The Old San Juan several times, and I absolutely love the authentic dishes they offer. It brings back fond memories of my grandmother's kitchen. If you're in the area, it's definitely a place you need to try!

The Old San Juan Restaurant features a lovely ambiance that reflects Spanish culture. The food is fresh and delicious! If you're looking for an authentic taste of Puerto Rican cuisine, this is the place to visit!

This is a great moderately priced Restaurant. Not a sophisticated wine place. This is a place for those that like food as prepared in Puerto Rico at a very low price.

Old San Juan was recommended by a native son, three joined for dinner. The waiter spoke NO ENGLISH, (wearing street clothes there were five other guest this peak Friday Evening. Stumbling through the menu, (English translation, selected an entree as an appetiser. Three other entrees was ordered. The atmosphere is not offensive (nice NO WINE LIST (only one red wine to offer . All of the entrees were bordering on tasteless. It seems that the chef's best training was microwave. Warm, tasteless, dry, warmed over, flavorless and served like you might expect from a homeless shelter. No bread, no butter, no water, that's a lot of No's Yeah but I know, that there is no way no how, no way I will recommend or go again. The last insult? The waiter added 15 percent propina, (like I would not know? There is no notice of that practice. I was offended, had the service been acceptable the bad food could be excused, nothing went well. Just under $115.00 for three for nothing more or less than Bad to average greasy spoon Cafeteria Food.
