Note to the reader: scale of 1-5, 5 being the best. At this particular visit, we had the Maryland crab cake as an appetizer (4); good texture and overall was majority crab and not filler. Also had the shrimp capinelli (2) w/ filet (3); I could barely taste the shrimp or even the bacon because it was over-powered by the breadcrumbs. The filet was cooked exactly as ordered, however was very plain. I would have preferred a mild cooked-in seasoning of some type and not the bearnaise sauce on the side. Side salad (4), although basic, was good since the lettuce was cold and cut-size worked well in the mouth. The last was the Mile High Chocolate cake (5); I prefer moist cakes with a rich milk-chocolate flavor and this fit me perfect. Will return and try other dishes, however, would not be my first choice travel spot (30-40 minutes west of us) since Capital Grill and Canon are right around the corner.
Their Veal Oscar has to be the BEST on the planet! If I ever had to pick my last meal on Earth, this would be it! They even had a piano player who was quite enjoyable.
I found it to be overpriced and over rated. I really didn't find anything so special about it except that it has this reputation that it is still living on. The atmosphere is sorely lacking. It's more of a Coral Springs hang out for the locals. I think that's great, but to travel to eat there is not worth it.
