Shinju Japanese Buffet - Coral Springs

First time there with a friend. Very nice array of sushi and sashimi. Also a Hibachi Grill and dessert bar. All you can eat for $20. Well worth the price for what they offer. Nice atmosphere and attendants and on the ball. On this Thursday night, there were two birthday partys going on and it was busy at 7:30 PM.

I went here for a late lunch ~3:15 and did not have a good experience. There was no sushi chef behind the counter preparing fresh sushi the entire 45 mins we were eating. There were only scraps of food on each of the sushi trays. The sushi was warm and the fried food was cold. let the manager know. He said You should not come between the rushes because they do not staff the sushi bar except during the rushes. We paid full price not knowing there were only scraps of food available. They should have a SCRAP HOUR if that is the food they serve when it is not a rush.

Huge variety of fresh, fresh, fresh sushi. 7 salads and 4 soups and enough on the regular buffet to keep non-sushi people happy and a cook to order hibachi grill. Atmosphere is nicely spaced and comfortable. Wait staff very pleasant and efficient. We drive 35 minutes each way to get there and we will probably do it weekly to get our sushi fix. Lunch $10 you can't beat this.

I have been there twice and will be there many more....we recommended ShinJu to all our friends yummerific.
