Feedback gevenMy group of 12 dined at the Hibachi grill recently. Due to our large party, gratuity was automatically added to our bill, which we were fine with. However, we were informed that we could only split the bill into 4 separate payments, causing some inconvenience as some of us had to use Venmo or pay with cash. The waitress seemed confused about how to split the bills and had to ask us multiple times. One member of our party wanted to tip the hibachi chef separately, but the waitress informed us that the gratuity added to our bill was for the chef, not for her. Although the food was excellent, some of us were left feeling uneasy about the gratuity policy and bill splitting at the restaurant. The service was great overall, but it raised questions about where our tips were going and how they were distributed.
I ordered takeout tonight, which I have done many times before. The food is usually pretty good, but tonight's sushi was some of the best I've ever had. The fish tasted incredibly fresh and the flavors were spot on.
