Very cute and family owned business. It's fairly new and the food is authentic. You have a Mexican mama cooking delicious food in the kitchen! If your missing a your mom come here
Cheerful staff; the quality of the food is on point! Best place to eat Mexican in Corcoran!
Getting in, the cashier was very nice and attentive. This was my first time going in and my go to in every Mexican restaurant is ordering a chicken burrito why? Because chicken is very easy to over cook and only a select few places have been able to cook it to perfection for me this lets me know that an establishment knows what they're doing. The reason why I'm giving this place two stars is because the staff was nice but I work in the food beverage industry I know how a kitchen is supposed to be ran and the things I seen going on the kitchen HORRIFIED me. Gloves and hairnets weren't being worn, the cashier went to the kitchen to help on make table and had her hair in a ponytail but she had long, loose hair that could land into food at anytime. These were just the first two factors, the last factor and this one was a HUGE one for me because this can cause great sickness in someone cross contamination. The cashier prepared MY burrito and placed it on the grill right next to RAW carne asada that they had just put to cook at the same time. I tried the burrito because I wanted to give a review also based on the taste of the food as well and my burrito was flat out dry. The chicken was over cooked and the refried beans were extremely dry, the only thing that helped a bit to eat it was the salsa. In the end, I took one bite out of it as I didn't find it appetizing at all. One reason being the dryness and the other being grilled next to RAW meat that was the final straw for me. The employees looked like great people If they haven't already, the owners need to train their staff correctly, unless they want to have people getting sick this is the last time I will ever be going back there again.
The menu is small but that's a great thing! We ordered carne asada tacos, queso birria tacos, and a cheese quesadilla. Additionally, I ordered the agua de Jamaica, it was sweet and little watered down. My personal preference is tart when it comes to Jamaica. They need to charge more for their tacos but this a great little place to eat.
