My glass was dirty so I asked for a replacement, they gave me another dirty one. The food was average neither good nor bad. Also the waitress didn’t know the dishes he was bringing outside. And last but not least the woman that made us pay was very rude, she told us we were waisting her time because we paid separately.
We had a really wonderful meal here. The food is excellent, and there is a covered interior patio that is lovely. I came here with local residents, and we had the Cordoba menu. It was so fun to eat local food! One other friend had the salmon, which was delicious. The restaurant doesn’t look like much from the street, but give it a try. It’s amazing!!!
We stumbled upon the place when we popped in for a beer early one lunchtime, the place looked lovely and the staff were friendly and all the food we saw coming out of the kitchen looked and smelled good so we booked a table for that evening. We did the right thing, all the food we had was tasty, well presented and well cooked and the service was excellent, friendly and helpful but professional. We had such a fabulous evening, in the moorish styled terrace inside the restaurant, we came back for more the next night and it did not disappoint! We will certainly eat there again next time we are in Cordoba! We can recommend the rabo del toro, the kebabs and the spiced lambwith couscous as well as the special spiced chicken pie.... all very tasty! and also great value for money, what a find!
Looking for somewhere away from the main thrash of tourists we stumbled across the Taberna De Ucles about a five minute walk from the Mezquita. Somewhat surprised at the poor reviews given to the place when we looked it up afterwards on TripAdvisor. Our visit at around 13:00 was great! We had a lovely, filling, three course Menu del Dia plus drink for a very modest 11 euros. Service was fast and friendly and the partially covered courtyard was very atmospheric.
My husband and I stumbled across this restaurant mid afternoon (1430 ish) we were welcomed by a lovely lady who said she would clean a table for us. We had 5 tapas to share between us, the fried aubergines in honey were delicious, glass of beer, glass of wine, large bottle of water. We were then tempted by dessert and chose the Arabic pastries to share. We also had 2 coffees. All of this came to 26€, a complete bargain. I don’t understand the bad reviews one bit. The customer service was excellent and the food and surroundings perfect! They even put up with our terrible attempts at speaking Spanish.
