After returning from a week in Swanage, we frequently visited Corfe village, including its bakery. I was surprised to see so many negative reviews, as this certainly wasn't our experience. One day, I forgot to wear a mask, but the staff were never rude; they politely reminded me to wear one. The shop is quite small, and there are signs at the entrance and inside asking customers to wear masks and limiting the number of customers to four at a time. The bread was hot and fresh, and there was a lovely selection of cakes and baked goods. I highly recommend the sausage bap! We would definitely return to this charming little village.
This bakery is fantastic! I've been coming here for nearly ten years and have never been disappointed. It's amusing to read the negative reviews from adults who complain like children just because they were asked to wear a mask. It's hard to believe that something so trivial could ruin their day. I'm actually glad those people don't come back, as it makes the bakery a much more pleasant place to be.
This restaurant is in the 3.75 to 4.20 star range. The rolls and cakes look decent and are reasonably priced. They also had some solid-looking loaf cakes available to take home. We tried the Dorset apple cake, which had a hint of cinnamon and was a bit dry, and the lardy cake, which was quite good. The staff was masked and friendly, which I appreciated.
