There are very limited vegan options available at this restaurant. The staff seemed uninformed about the differences between vegetarian and vegan dishes, so I was hesitant to try any of the options that could be made vegan. The food was lackluster and appeared to be store-bought. They only offered cow's milk for coffee with no dairy alternative available. I was shocked when my falafel panini cost £11 for just bread and falafel. The service was also subpar and unenthusiastic. It's a shame because the location is beautiful. Overall, I was disappointed with the experience.
This pub has a pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff, but the prices are quite high considering the portion sizes. The food was delicious, but we were disappointed with the vegan sharing platter we ordered, as it turned out to be just the vegetarian option with some items removed and not replaced. It was disheartening to see others around us receiving larger and cheaper meat options, which emphasized the pricing disparity between vegan and non-vegan dishes. Great view of the castle from the patio! Definitely book as it can get busy! Lovely staff and great vegan food!
I had I great meal there. Seemed like home hade hummus. With a home made slaw. And falafels with salad and tzatziki dressing. The falafel balls were not authentic ones. It doughy, beetroot coloured.
