Aubergine Cafe is a vegetarian restaurant with a lot of vegan options. We had a vegan gyros made out of mushrooms which is something you won't get everywhere. The vegan burger was good, but nothing special.
Altough they had many many vegan options, we were not lucky with the ones we picked. We ordered the stuffed aurbergine, that came with boiled potatoes. No taste, no seasoning, bad texture cheewy/rubbery. We also ordered the vegan gyros, which was basically grilled mushrooms also, no seasoning. The okayest option was the roasted veggies starter good. The worst part was they took 30 40 minutes to start bringing these not impressive courses. Do not recommend, there are other better vegan options in town.
It’s an unassuming little cafe, but they have some gorgeous seating outside. We got two cokes, shared a garlic bread as a starter, I had the Mussakas (moussaka) and he had the Campagniola pasta. Both were delicious. Don’t agree with the small portion comments. We were both very happy. Staff were attentive, food did take slightly longer than I expected. But worth the wait.
Very tasty vegan icecream. We had strawbery, mango and lemon flawors. They do not have vegan chocolate.
