Breens Lobster - Cork

I was very disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. There was no lobster available, and all the fish dishes were breaded and not fresh. This was especially disappointing since the restaurant is located at the harbor. The restaurant was not family-friendly, as there were limited options for children and the service was poor. I will not be returning.

The owners of the B&B where we were staying recommended Breen’s and it was fantastic. We went back the next night. Food is delicious with unexpected treats like watermelon in the salad. Desserts are clearly made in house with a different special each night. Do not miss this place.

I was staying in a holiday cottage near Castletownbere with my husband and daughter in May. Our one evening out was in Breen's Lobster Bar and it was a great place to go. The food was really delicious and beautifully presented. Service was very efficient and friendly and we all enjoyed our meals having ordered different dishes We would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to other holiday visitors.

Lobster bar with no lobster? I actually thought that was a joke but it’s not. And when we visited they weren’t accepting cards either. Gulp. Or not, in our case.

My experience at this restaurant last week was great, even though it was packed. We were seated and served quickly. We ordered toasted sandwiches - one with chips and one with salad. The ham in the sandwich was clearly homemade and plentiful. The salad was fresh and tasty.
