The service was efficient, but the £5 price tag for a slice of carrot cake was the priciest I encountered on my vacation. Unfortunately, the cake also included coconut in the topping, which had a sour taste that lingered for the rest of the day. Lesson learned - always check the ingredients before dining here!
This lovely spot is perfect for a quick snack or casual lunch. The service is incredibly friendly, even on busy days when other nearby restaurants are closed. Although the menu is small, the quality of the food is excellent. I highly recommend this place.
Today in St. Agnes, our group of four decided to have something to eat at this café. We were told that they were not accepting food orders at the moment because the kitchen was too busy. When asked when we could order dinner, they said maybe in an hour. So, we ended up only having cake and a drink. Unfortunately, they also said they were not taking cake orders because the kitchen was too busy. Despite the place being busy, there were many empty tables so it did not seem like they were overwhelmed. They also mentioned that the kitchen was closed on Wednesdays, but they could have been more prepared with additional staff. Their attitude towards guests was unbelievable and I would recommend avoiding this place.
That was our first visit, but it won't be our last. we were just looking for a morning coffee and coastguards didn't disappoint. it was a beautiful coffee and made more fun sitting in the sunny garden. we had no torte, even though they looked delicious when we had lunch later. the lunch menu also looked very good. service was friendly and efficient.
The food and coffee here is great, with beautiful views. We love visiting here. Staff helpful and polite. Excellent service. Wifi only inside for reception. Look forward to our next visit.
