Earl Of Chatham

We stayed for 1 night but wish we had stayed for more. We arrived late on the Friday and received a warm welcome from staff and locals. We had dinner in the bar and breakfast the next morning; the food was delicious. Our room was lovely and very comfortable and we will definitely be returning.

Nice Food but Not great staff the chef who was also the owner Did not like being Criticised when my sisters Boyfriend was unhappy with his meal and spoke to her about it she said i dont give a toss and told us all to get out .Her Daughter who served us never asked as if we wanted any Sauces with our meals and seemed to care more about regular customers then she did us. The locals did not make us feel Welcome either if you want my Advice stick to the Globe lovely staff all the foods fine and they are very attentive .

Absolutely appalling place. Rude, uninterested staff that were more interested in locals and people they new. Food was reasonable, but the service terrible. Reaction to our justified complaints was leave my pub and don 't come back. Terrible and unjustified behavior from the owners. Would never go back and have never been treated so badly in my life. We are an easy going polite family that eat out in many places in Europe. We have never been treated like this, it was like we were aliens. Totally disgusted at there behavior towards us. A sorry at least would have been nice!! Chef told us to leave and that there was something wrong with us if we did not like what was served. No middle ground here, they were right and we were "THAT TYPE OF PEOPLE THEY DO NOT NEED IN THEYRE PUB. TOOK MY MONEY THOUGH!! Two faced jumped up think they are posh Nobody 's. Everywhere else in Lostwithiel excellent and friendly. Shame on this place for ruining our day. What happened to the customer is always right, or at least should be given the benefit of the doubt!!!

Sea Bass filets on crushed new potatoes with seasonal vegetables delicious Wonderful deserts.

Cosy little pub, friendly staff and locals. Beer selection is lacking but this place is quite charming.
