East Meets West

I was looking forward to eating at this restaurant. When we walked in, nobody came to welcome us or show us to our table. We ordered our food and not more than 10 minutes it was in front of us. Great service we thought, until we started to eat. Very disappointing. My husband chose the chicken curry, which had no taste and looked like wallpaper paste, it had no taste whatsoever. When we complained, we were told that's how the locals like it. We're locals and it's definitely not how we like it! My daughter had chicken chow mein, I also had a chicken dish. The chicken tasted as though it had been warmed through in the microwave. The chips were rock hard and inedible. My son in law had the duck chow mein, which he said was quite nice. One out of 4 isn't bad i suppose. I hasten to add they took the some of the dishes off the bill.

I decided to try this restaurant on a spontaneous visit to Carlyon Bay over the long weekend. I ordered a takeout, but was disappointed with the congealed vegetable curry that lacked flavor. The noodles were decent, but the chips were dry. I would not recommend this place.

Had to put a review as cannot believe some of what I've read. We visit here 3/4 a year and do not have a single complaint. Excellent food which is most important.

Very tasty food. Had read reviews that this was a buffet style restaurant but it wasn’t when we went all food was from the menu. The portions are HUGE so we probably ordered too much food. When we return for another long weekend break will definitely be returning.

This was the worst Chinese food we have ever had! Every dish was very poor in quality. If you want a decent Chinese meal, I recommend going to Chinese Kitchen at Holmbush, just a few minutes away.
